Exports from the mainland China has witnessed a year-on-year increase of 24.4 per cent amounting to US$4.3bn and total product sales income increased by 17.05 per cent to US$35.5bn.
This, along with the ever-growing market for the Chinese traditional medicines, offers enormous potential for overseas firms who plan to sell in China.

The second edition of CPhI China was held in Shanghai in June 2002. CPhI 2002 showed a 14 per cent increase in visitor numbers; in all 7856 individual visitors from 32 Chinese regions and 53 overseas countries attended the exhibition.
Visitors and exhibitors CPhI China 2003 indicate , the event turned out to be an excellent meeting point for international pharma-chemical decision makers to meet with the Chinese industry.
